SKU: | OLIVER FREY Fantasy Art Book |
The Fantasy Art of Oliver Frey is a HARDBACK book that covers the history of the man behind the art - take a look into Oli's younger days and how he started his craft.
The book is split into chapters grouping in art from monsters and aliens to heroes and villains. If you were a games player of the 80s and 90s, there will be a great deal of artwork in this book that you will recognise that will kick in the nostalgic memories - how about the issue 1 artwork of Crash magazine in the image below for starters!
For anyone that grew up with magazines like Crash or Zzap64, this book is a great reminisce of the artwork and covers that were done by Oliver Frey. Some great stories, anecdotes, and a massive overload of great artwork. I can’t recommend it enough.
Next best thing to Doc’s DeLorean time machine! Highly recommended.
Although a little late on revisiting my youth.. This book and the and art work along with information behind them is a best example of history along with pure blessed art I have in my collection. From the 1st page it brought me right back to the beginning of my travels into what is now vintage (retro) life of the my memories and so great. All who get and read will not be regret.
Shame he's not with us, A very well done book but the have a heart zombie wasn't as red as it was in ZZap64!, but apart from that this is "Top Banana" in my Books
A wonderful collection of images that bring back memories of computer magazines in the 80s, along with some spooky books I read as a kid. It's easy to get lost in the magic.
